Everything Connects Top 5 Goals
Enrich Human Welfare
Improving the health and prosperity of humanity runs hand in hand with preserving the natural world. From famine to war, drought to diseases, dirty air to polluted water, poor health to financial struggles, we can simultaneously heal and protect ourselves, our communities, our fellow species and the planet by restoring the very foundation our societies are built on and livelihoods depend on - the natural world.
Provide Education
Education and awareness is the cornerstone for progress and change. Throughout Everything Connects, you can explore an ecologically rooted, universally important base of knowledge on all the major environmental issues and how they connect to the state of our health, stability of our economy, capacity of our societies, perseverance of wildlife, balance of nature and prosperity of our children while discovering ways to live healthier, save money, build community and make a difference.
Create Inspiration
Powerful inspiration brings with it a wave of energy that can propel people forward and keep the mind positive and focused on the big picture. I have set out to inspire action on global issues by tackling the idea that one person is too small to make a difference, connecting the dots between the health of the planet and the health of its inhabitants, and empowering people with over a million reasons to join hands and feel unafraid in embarking on our collective, generational mission to stand up for a cause, whether it's ecological or not.
Protecting nature is no different than protecting ourselves. The ecosystem services provided to humanity by countless species directly and all other species indirectly are indispensable, virtually irreplaceable and essential for our continued existence. This and the sheer wonder, beauty and magnificence of nature are why we must protect our lands, water, air and soil for ourselves, our children and for all life on Earth.
Reconnecting with nature is in essence, reconnecting with ourselves and is essential to gaining the type of consciousness we need to achieve much of the preservation we can. Through photography and the linkage between nature and many aspects of our lives presented throughout this site, you can begin or continue seeing, appreciating and understanding the vital connection we have to nature and ultimately, one another.
"To waste and destroy our natural resources, to skin and exhaust the land instead of using it so as to increase its usefulness, will result in undermining in the days of our children the very prosperity which we ought by right to hand down to them." ~ Theodore Roosevelt
George Tsiattalos, Creator and Founder
www.georgetsiattalos.com
My story is not one of a lifelong conservationist, a hippie child growing up in the woods or a man formally educated in the field of environmental sciences. My story begins with a question. A question that I asked myself almost two years ago. A question that has changed my life forever and transcended my passion for people and nature into action for both. I will never forget that moment where I became so fed up of feeling hopelessly hopeless to make a difference in a world in desperate need of 'differences' and seemingly too large for one person to matter the slightest. I asked myself, "What can I do with my own two hands to make the biggest, most positive difference in the world?" From there, it all began. I quickly realized that by focusing my passion, motivation and love for both people and nature to preserving the natural environment, I could help protect ecosystems, people and wildlife simultaneously by helping to sustain the complex web of life and interconnected systems that sustain us.
With my vision in hand, where was I to begin? I knew nothing about website development, so I began to teach myself and built this website, page by page. I knew little about environmental issues and solutions, so I began to learn. I had never held a DSLR camera before, let alone knew what aperture, shutter speed or ISO were, so I bought one and learned through trial and error. I always thought I was too small to make a difference, so I embarked on a mission to pick up and recycle 1,000,000 pieces of plastic, plant 10,000 trees, paint 500 roofs white and volunteer for 100 organizations to prove I wasn't and that you aren't either; to prove that one person can make a difference, whether small or large. That it all adds up, is positively contagious and that every single person matters.
I grew up in New Jersey and graduated from Baruch College with a Bachelor's in Communications and from the School of Management and Labor Relations at Rutgers University with a Master's in Human Resources Management and have over a decade's worth of management experience. Transcending my business background, I spend my free time educating myself on environmental issues and solutions, photographing wild places and wildlife, managing and further developing this website, and pursuing the completion of my four missions. My goal is to do the best I can, with what I've been given to make the greatest difference possible.

Our partnership
with Trees for the Future allows us to plant ten trees for every dollar spent on a donation or photograph. Since 1989, Trees for the Future (www.treesforthefuture.org) has been helping communities around the world plant trees. Through seed distribution, agroforestry training, and our country programs, we have empowered rural groups to restore tree cover to their lands. Planting trees protects the environment and helps to preserve traditional livelihoods and cultures for generations.
